Spiked Online Editor Tom Slater reveals the White House gunman had allegedly attempted to breach the complex before. “What we know is that there was this shooting outside of the White House, the suspects in this case was shot by the Secret Service. He was killed,” Mr Slater told Sky News host Jaimee Rogers. “He actually attempted to get into the White House not that long ago, I think it was only July 2025. “Given the fact that this happened only a month after the attempted assassination of Trump at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner … it’s another reminder of the elevated threat that seems to exist in America.”
