Sky News host James Macpherson claims conservatives are abandoning the Liberals in droves as support for One Nation explodes in new polling projections. “One Nation supporters are beginning to behave like lottery winners who've checked the numbers three times and still can't quite believe what they're seeing,” Mr Macpherson said. “According to seat-by-seat projections … Pauline Hanson's party would win 53 seats if an election were held today. “The Coalition? Just 12. 12. That's not an opposition. That's a netball team. “Many conservative voters no longer trust that the Liberal Party's instincts align with their own. “If the Coalition wants to stop the bleeding, it needs more than a new economic package. It needs to convince conservatives that it actually believes in conservative principles.”
