US President Donald Trump’s former secretary of state Mike Pompeo joined The West Block in a wide-ranging interview to discuss Trump’s second term in comparison to the first. In the first part of the interview, Pompeo touched on Canada’s relationship with the United States and American foreign policy, providing key insights as someone who’s worked closely with Trump. When it comes to differences in Trump’s second term, Pompeo rejected any stark contrast. “They're driven by the same man, right? So they do emote differently. They do speak differently. But if you ask for the through-lines, I think the through-lines are more consistent than the variances.” When asked about whether Canda should become the 51st state, Pompeo said, “I'm happy at 50 for the United States. The flag is sufficiently crowded at this point, but I can see making the case.” For more info, please go to https://globalnews.ca Subscribe to Global News Channel HERE: http://bit.ly/20fcXDc Follow Global News on X HERE
