Former white house chief of staff Mick Mulvaney believes many Republicans suspect President Trump is cutting a “bad deal” with Iran. Mr Mulvaney said if Trump cuts a deal where the Strait of Hormuz opens and Iran agrees not to have a nuclear weapon in the next 20 years, it would be “perceived as a win, not only by the Republicans, by the way, but by the Democrats”. “But what I think you’re hearing, you sort of get that feeling that Trump is cutting a deal that is well short of that,” he told Sky News Australia.
