Nationals leader Matt Canavan claims the Albanese government “hasn’t done its homework” when it comes to the budget and capital gains tax. This comes as Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has opened the door to more capital gains tax exemptions for industries other than technology amid backlash over Labor’s controversial budget and tax reform. “The government should just start again,” Mr Canavan told Sky News Australia. “The Australian people never got to have their say about these tax changes because the Prime Minister lied to us 12 months ago.”
