Former US diplomat and military officer Joel Rayburn claims the Gulf states have “no choice” but to strengthen relations with the United States as the Iranians continue to pose a threat. “What this conflict has brought home is that the Iranians are going to pose a threat to the Gulf nations regardless of what they do,” he told Sky News Australia. “So, they really have no choice but to come closer to the United States.”
