Officials reduced the evacuation zone for some residents living near a faulty tank containing hazardous chemicals in Garden Grove, CA. Earlier Monday, emergency officials said there was no longer a risk of a catastrophic explosion involving a tank containing methyl methacrylate at the GKN Aerospace Transparency Systems plant in Garden Grove. Authorities said they have not detected hazardous chemical levels as of Monday. Officials have been working to cool the tank to prevent a toxic leak or explosion. Covey said the temperature inside the tank dropped to 93 degrees Fahrenheit on Monday, down from 100 degrees Fahrenheit a day earlier.
