The province's police watchdog is investigating after a North York man died following an interaction with police.   The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) says it happened Monday night near Jane Street and York Gate Boulevard where Toronto police officers entered an apartment complex to execute an arrest of a 34-year-old man.   Officers reportedly spoke to the person of interest and informed him that he was under arrest. The man then went back into the unit and closed the door. A short time later, officers learned he had fallen from his 11th floor unit to the ground. He was rushed to hospital, but later died from his injuries.   Global News crime specialist Catherine McDonald has the details.
