Conservative Sandra Cobena, MP for Newmarket-Aurora, on Wednesday went after Prime Minister Mark Carney’s bills that are paid by the taxpayer that showed that he and his entourage racked up $195,400 for in-flight catering over the course of three flights, according to documents obtained by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation. “Scottish salmon fillet, sauteed beef with world-famous creamy sauce and for desert: luxury Normandy buttercups. Every dollar this prime minister spends on his elite palette is first taken from a hard-working Canadian,” Cobena said. “You can be proud of having a prime minister that is not only travelling across the world to bring back investments and jobs, but also that he’s working in a very difficult environment across the world,” replied Industry Minister Mélanie Joly.
