Sky News host Sharri Markson says Police Minister Yasmin Catley has again refused to be “transparent” about why Operation Shelter was effectively shut down prior to the Bondi terror attack. “Operation Shelter was a specific police taskforce on antisemitism, and the RC heard this week that it had been disbanded,” Ms Markson said. “So, as Yasmin Catley literally read out, herself, it was no longer operating to protect the Jewish community; that element of it had been disbanded and, instead, it had been reassigned to protest activity. “We all know the primary protests of the past year were pro-Palestinian. “It sounds like a police task force meant to fight antisemitism had been reassigned to the Palestinian protesters. “If this is the case, it's pretty outrageous and requires a full explanation.”
