Officials in Washington say the US and Iran have reached an agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and extend a ceasefire by 60 days. But all that hinges on the pending approval from US President Donald Trump. If Mr Trump signs off on the memorandum, the Strait of Hormuz will reopen, Iran will clear any mines from the waterway within 30 days, and the two nations will enter nuclear talks. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent hosted the White House press briefing this morning and claimed Donald Trump maintains the same red lines for any negotiation.
