We always knew a genre bending science fiction show produced by the Duffer brothers will be worth our time. If Stranger Things is any example, they are a master at world building and story, but it is usually the endings they screw up. What can I say, some of us still talk to our therapists about the ‘I believe’ BS they pulled at the end. Jokes apart, The Boroughs truly follows on the Stranger Things footsteps by starting out with an amazing season debut but like any good sci fi starting out, the final episode left us with too many questions. Even if it felt like the show was a mini series for a split second, especially by the way it killed off its central creature in the most heartfelt possible manner, the big glitchy cliffhanger at the end left the best of us bamboozled. More importantly, there are just too many loose threads and dots for Sam Cooper and his friends to connect.
