Sky News host James Macpherson says Labour has regained momentum following Keir Starmer’s resignation, with polling also showing Andy Burnham outperforming Nigel Farage on leadership measures. “Support for Labour has risen to 27 per cent just ahead of Reform since Keir Starmer announced he was resigning,” Mr Macpherson said. “Interestingly, when Burnham was put head-to-head against Nigel Farage, the former was rated better for competence at 41 per cent, compared to Farage at 25 per cent. “Burnham hasn't worked in Parliament for 10 years. Voters trust someone with virtually no recent experience over Farage.”
