Sky News host Jaimee Rogers claims Australian doctors lost a vital opportunity to learn from an internationally recognised Israeli trauma surgeon after activists forced the cancellation of a medical conference. “According to the Australian, Australian doctors were to hear from one of the world's leading trauma surgeons. An Israeli military doctor whose battlefield experience helped save lives from gunshot and blast injuries,” Ms Rogers said. “The conference was cancelled after healthcare activist groups threatened protests. “Just weeks after that conference was cancelled, first responders were faced with the Bondi massacre. “Australian medical professionals lost the opportunity to learn from someone recognised internationally for treating exactly those kinds of catastrophic injuries, and that's a loss for all of us.”
