For those who do not know, Minions and Monsters is actually the 3rd standalone film in the Minions spin off series but you could say that Illumination has sort of entered its monster movie era with the seventh installment in the Despicable Me franchise. Through the decades, we have witnessed Hollywood’s transition from silent films to sound countless times, which inspired classics like Sunset Boulevard, Singin' in the Rain, The Artist, and Babylon. Now, in a delightfully unexpected twist, the Minions get their own take on that classic era as the little, denim clad, gibberish speaking, yellow troublemakers have always drawn heavily from the physical comedy of silent film legends.
