TalkTV Weekend Editor Phil Dave argues that Labour MP Andy Burnham must call a general election if he intends to deliver the “radical changes” outlined in his first major address to the UK. “At the time when, I think it was between Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak … Burnham was one of the ones who was crying out the loudest to say we need a general election,” Mr Dave told Sky News Senior Reporter Caroline Marcus. “Funnily enough, he doesn’t seem to have offered that same bit of advice now that he’s potentially in line to become the prime minister. “Of course, it should go to a vote. These are radical changes we’re talking about that could seriously damage the country.”
