TalkTV Weekend Editor Phil Dave expresses concern over the UK's future should Labour MP Andy Burnham become the next prime minister. “There won’t really be any change in terms of policy. It won’t really be radically different to what Starmer would probably have liked to have done himself had he had the gumption to do it,” Mr Dave told Sky News Senior Reporter Caroline Marcus. “I think what we will see with someone like Burnham is that he has got that backbone; he doesn’t really care too much whether or not people are for him or against him. “I worry for the future of the UK because socialism has never really proven to work elsewhere, so I don’t know why on earth he thinks it would work in the UK.”
