Women’s Forum Australia CEO Rachael Wong condemns governments for prioritising ideology over reality and failing to protect women and girls despite growing concerns about safety and sex-based protections. “Those in power at the moment around the country seem to be governed by ideology rather than truth, rather than reality, rather than concern about the safety of women and girls,” Ms Wong told Sky News host James Morrow. “As long as those people are making the decisions, I’m not sure we’re going to have much traction. “I would have thought that things like women being sexually assaulted in prison by men claiming to be women would be kind of the last final straw, but it hasn’t been. “I’m not quite sure what it’s going to take.”
