Women’s Forum Australia CEO Rachael Wong believes former prime minister Julia Gillard’s acknowledgement that there may be issues with the 2013 reforms should be a wake-up call for the current Labor government. “I think that the fact that one of the architects of the changes to the Act, or at least the person that was in charge of the government that made those amendments, is now starting to make comments like maybe there is an issue,” Ms Wong told Sky News host James Morrow. “I think the fact that she’s made those comments should give warning to the current Labor government that they actually need to look at this. “I think it should make a difference; whether it will, I’m not so sure.”
