Sky News host James Morrow believes Julia Gillard’s acknowledgement that there may be issues with the 2013 reforms should be a wake-up call for the current Labor government. “Obviously it’s not law, but it is an indication of what the actual intent of the changes to the law might have been back in 2013,” Mr Morrow said. “Do you think that this argument, even though it was given in sort of a public forum and not in a legal court kind of environment, will help the legal cases of those who are fighting against some of the deleterious effects of this law? “Which, to remind everybody, took the idea that there was biological maleness and biological femaleness out of the sex discrimination act.”
