A former United States Olympian was indicted Thursday on a felony charge for the alleged vandalism of the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool. U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro said David Hearn, a former Olympic canoe racer, is accused of ripping up a recently installed sealant, causing over $1,000 in damage. Hearn previously told The Associated Press he reached into the pool to examine the newly peeled coating during a 64-mile bike ride. Trump has said federal authorities made “multiple arrests” of people he accused of vandalizing the reflecting pool following a more than $14-million rehabilitation project he launched for the nation’s 250th anniversary.
