Canada’s prime minister is set to meet his fellow NATO leaders in Turkey next week. Mark Carney recently announced Canada’s goal of spending four per cent of GDP on defence by the end of the decade. To achieve that, many billions of dollars will need to be spent and some economists warn tax increases may be inevitable.
