The first case of H5 bird flu has been confirmed in New South Wales. It follows testing on an infected giant petrel, a seabird that spends most of its time over the water. It was found near Hawks Nest on the state's Mid North Coast on Friday. New South Wales Agriculture Minister Tara Moriarty said the state government is continuing to monitor the situation.
