Sky News host James Macpherson says Julia Gillard claimed that she had “no idea” her changes to the Sex Discrimination Act would endanger female-only spaces. Mr Macpherson said The Australian has revealed that a 2013 Senate committee report on Ms Gillard's legislation explicitly foreshadowed the kinds of conflicts we're seeing today between women's rights and transgender rights. “Gillard never read the report into the potential consequences of her own legislation.”
