Journalist and author Melanie Phillips reacts to Labour MP Andy Burnham’s proposal to establish a second Number 10 in Manchester if he is elected the UK's next prime minister. “What on earth is he talking about? I mean, the more the man speaks … the more ridiculous he sounds,” Ms Phillips said. “I remember when Keir Starmer won his stinking majority in the House of Commons; it was a paradox because he himself wasn’t liked. “You have a situation that’s now building in which this is going to be surpassed by Andy Burnham becoming prime minister, being absolutely loathed, just waltzing into Number 10.”
