Have you ever wondered how to observe and hypothesize scientifically? In this educational video for kids, we are going to learn about observation and hypothesis and how each are used in science. The best part? We are going to do a cool experiment together, too! Let’s start with the basics: what is observation, hypothesis, and inference? And what exactly does each word mean? An observation is the gathering of information using the five senses: touch, sight, hearing, taste and smell. An inference is using background knowledge to make a guess about an observation. And a hypothesis uses research and background knowledge to make a guess about something that has not yet happened… kind of like a prediction. Seems pretty straight-forward, right? We hope you and your student(s) enjoyed learning about observation and hypothesis! If you want even more information, head over to our website and download one of our many free lesson plans, full of activities, worksheets, and more! https://l
