Sky News contributor Sophie Elsworth reacts to outgoing UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s BBC interview on his decision to step down. “People just want him gone; it’s like the long goodbye … it just goes on, and on, and on,” Ms Elsworth told Sky News host Chris Kenny. “We expect he [Andy Burnham] will be appointed prime minister in the next week or so, and finally, the country can move on. “There’s been a lot of criticism that Sir Keir Starmer has been one of the worst prime ministers this country has ever seen. “I think the country, the voters, the people here in the UK are looking for, hopefully, a fresh start and a renewal in what has been a pretty torrid two years of Labour government.”
