BC wildfire: Out-of-control blaze forces evacuations as fire rages in Fraser Canyon

Residents of North Bend, B.C. are being ordered to evacuate as an out of control wildfire continues to grow in the Fraser Canyon. The fire, just outside the community of Boston Bar, has reached 100 hectares in size, the B.C. Wildfire Service said in an alert issued early Sunday morning. The fire has been steadily growing since it was first discovered on Thursday. Officials say they believe the fire was caused by human activity. An evacuation alert has also been put in place for the entire community of Boston Bar. Residents are being advised to gather family members, pets, and essential items such as government ID, and be ready to leave at a moment’s notice. Global's Angela Jung reports.
