Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Yechiel Leiter accused "members of the elite media" of participating in a modern "blood libel" against Israel. "If we were guilty of the things that we're accused of, my son would be alive today, and hundreds of other soldiers would be alive today," he said Monday at the Council on Foreign Relations. "Because we don't strafe bomb population centers from above and we don't starve population centers and we don't commit genocide." Amb.
