IPA Research Fellow Colleen Harkin argues the Coalition's biggest problem isn't leadership but a failure to stand firmly behind its own values. “I think the real problem that the Liberal Party has experienced is a lack of conviction to policy,” Ms Harkin told Sky News host James Morrow. “I think they lost courage about who they are and what they stand for. “The leader is obviously an important component; it’s the face of the brand and all that kind of stuff, but I think the problems have been greater than just the leader.”
