Trump on Iran ceasefire: "I think it's over"

President Trump on Wednesday said the ceasefire with Iran is "over," calling it "a waste of time dealing with them" as both sides renewed strikes three weeks after the preliminary agreement was signed. "To me, I think it's over. I don't want to deal with them anymore," he said at the NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey. "They're scum. They're sick people. They're led by sick people, and they're vicious, violent people. And if they had a nuclear weapon, they'd use it. As far as I'm concerned, it's over." U.S. Central Command launched a series of strikes against Iran on Tuesday in retaliation for Tehran's attacks on commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz. The U.S. also reimposed sanctions on Iranian oil that had been lifted under the memorandum of understanding signed three weeks ago.
