From the looks of it, Cable, AKA Nathan Summers, is becoming one of the major driving forces in X-Men ’97 Season 2, particularly as the series explores Apocalypse and the future in which Nathan was raised. We first met the adult Cable in New Mutants #87, where he appeared as a mysterious soldier with a complicated history involving Stryfe. It did not take him long to become the leader of the New Mutants and reorganise them as X-Force. Since then, Cable and his team have become an essential part of the X-Men franchise.
