Centre of the American Experiment President John Hinderaker accuses the Smithsonian of promoting anti-American ideology, claiming taxpayer-funded exhibits attack everything from Christopher Columbus to Mickey Mouse. “It seems like every institution has been taken over by the left,” Mr Hinderaker told Sky News host James Morrow. “Here we have the National Museum of American History. It is run by the federal government, paid for by American taxpayers, and it's bitterly anti-American. “Their current exhibits attack Christopher Columbus, they call hard work a sign of white supremacy … and they even attack Micky Mouse. “These institutions are hunkering down and waiting for the Trump administration to end, hoping that we will have a Democratic administration starting in 2029.”
