There's some much-needed good news for Canadian workers. The country added 18,000 jobs in June, beating expectations and building on a strong month of hiring in May. The unemployment rate dipped by a tenth of a point to 6.5 per cent. The biggest winners were young workers though their unemployment rate remains high. Jacqueline Hansen breaks down the numbers. Wildfires are burning out of control in B.C.’s interior. The Brunswick Creek wildfire complex has already prompted hundreds of evacuation orders for hundreds of properties with hundreds more now under evacuation alert, warned to be ready to leave at a moments notice.
