Political Analyst Joe Siracusa says the US regularly projects “hard power” around the world and “doesn’t know” what to do when it is unsuccessful. “America sometimes gets in a bind, whether it's Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, or now Iran…we use hard power, and when that doesn’t work, we don’t really know what to do next,” Mr Siracusa told Sky News Australia. “President Trump is looking for the off-ramp; he’d be happy to have any help from wherever it comes. “But the Iranians are not going to give it to him.”
