US projects hard power and ‘doesn’t know’ what to do when it's unsuccessful

​Political Analyst Joe Siracusa says the US regularly projects “hard power” around the world and “doesn’t know” what to do when it is unsuccessful. ​“America sometimes gets in a bind, whether it's Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, or now Iran…we use hard power, and when that doesn’t work, we don’t really know what to do next,” Mr Siracusa told Sky News Australia. ​“President Trump is looking for the off-ramp; he’d be happy to have any help from wherever it comes. ​“But the Iranians are not going to give it to him.”
