The Trump administration is escalating its attacks against the news media. The New York Times says the Justice Department has just issued subpoenas to several of its journalists that could force them to testify before a grand jury next week. On Wednesday that newspaper reported that Trump’s new luxury Air Force One plane, which was gifted by Qatar, lacks advanced security features. The president flew to a summit in Turkey this week, but he left in a different, older model jet. The Times reported that the abrupt swap came at the urging of the Secret Service following reports of an assassination plot by Iran.
