Strategic Analysis Australia Director Michael Shoebridge argues that Iranian control of the Strait of Hormuz has become a "new normal" in the wake of the conflict with the US. “Before the war, Iran wouldn’t have been able to close the Straits because it would have been an unthinkable thing to do to the international economy,” Mr Shoebridge told Sky News host Jaimee Rogers. “During the war, it made a whole lot of sense, and now they’ve played that card, they get to keep playing it. “The war has meant that Iran is now using its control of the Straits as a new normal.”
