Sky News host Jaimee Rogers says Jewish Australians have been “failed” by the country and its universities. “Universities have long defended themselves by pointing to freedom of speech, but no student should have to wonder whether revealing their name, their religion, or their heritage will make them a target,” Ms Rogers said. “How did our universities allow this culture to develop? “Universities aren't just producing graduates; they're shaping the next generation of leaders. “If students learn that this behaviour is acceptable, then we've failed at something much bigger than campus governance. “Australia has failed our Jewish community; universities failed to protect them. “Antisemitism should be confronted with the same resolve as every other form of racism; nothing less should be acceptable in Australia, nothing less.”
