Hancock Energy Executive Director Ian Plimer reflects on his own battle with metastatic melanoma while praising Gina Rinehart's investment in technology he believes could transform cancer treatment. “I have a vested interest in this for two reasons: I was diagnosed with a very aggressive metastatic melanoma some six and a half years ago; I’m on immune therapy; I’m still above the grass, and I’m still upright,” Mr Plimer told Sky News host Rita Panahi. “I’m excited by the fact that there is a new process that might actually help kill off cancer, not just curing it but killing it off. “This, with Mrs Rinehart, would be her legacy.”
