Hancock Energy Executive Director Ian Plimer condemns government spending on renewable energy projects, arguing billions of taxpayer dollars have been squandered without lowering electricity prices. “Our taxes are being pillaged by people who have access to our money and who are just supporting their pet projects,” Mr Plimer told Sky News host Rita Panahi. “None of these renewable pet projects have lowered the cost of electricity. “We are having these people thieving taxpayers’ money. “It’s about time this stopped. The major political parties have to jump on this. This is appalling to waste so much money.”
