Sky News contributor Kosha Gada reflects on Lindsey Graham's lifelong devotion to his sister, arguing her interim appointment is a symbolic tribute before Republicans contest the vacant seat. “It is unusual, and not many people knew about her, and she has campaigned with Lindsey Graham in the past, but as his life story came out into the media in the last 48 hours, a lot of people learnt about their backstory,” Ms Gada told Sky News host Rita Panahi. “They were orphaned at a pretty young age because both of the grandparents died when he was in his early 20s and she was, I think, a teen, and the foster system would have taken her over … he applied to be her legal guardian.” “They have this very close bond; I think this is a symbolic gesture. “It is a free-for-all right now where every name you can think of in South Carolina is probably going to throw their hat in the ring to do that contested primary.”
