Under the EU's Entry-Exit System, non-EU nationals travellers must register biometric information when entering most European countries, which is checked when they leave. On Politics Live, the BBC's Colletta Smith talked through the impact of the digital border system with host Vicki Young. Labour MP Johanna Baxter MP told the programme "the government is building closer working relations with our EU counterparts and member states to address these difficulties". The European Commission has said it is willing to offer more support. Liberal Democrat MP Munira Wilson and broadcaster Iain Dale also discussed the changes.
