A Canadian man is facing more than 130 charges following a year-long investigation into child abuse and sexual exploitation that led to the rescue of four children in the Philippines. Stephen Tolys, 42, is accused of paying for and directing a livestream that featured sexual abuse of children in the Philippines. Toronto Police Service (TPS_ executed a search warrant on a home in Hamilton in March 2026, and Tolys was arrested and charged with sexual exploitation. He now faces 136 charges. “These additional charges speak to the scale of the alleged offences and our commitment to following every lead and holding offenders accountable,” said Insp. Keri Fernandes of the TPS. Investigators believe there could be other victims and are asking for anyone with information to come forward.
