Rising tensions in the Middle East are beginning to impact global energy supply and shipping routes, and India is now feeling the effects. Two Indian LPG tankers — Shivalik and Nanda Devi — owned by the Shipping Corporation of India have successfully crossed the strategic Strait of Hormuz after being stranded near the Gulf region amid the Iran-US conflict. The vessels, carrying nearly 92,700 metric tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), are expected to arrive at Mundra and Kandla ports in India. Their safe passage came after intense diplomatic efforts between New Delhi and Tehran, including talks between External Affairs Minister S.
