As soon as Argentina regain possession, their first look is to Lionel Messi. They reduce his defensive workload, allowing him to stay high and become the immediate outlet when the ball is won back. With Messi’s security in possession, Argentina can commit numbers forward quickly, knowing he can attract defenders and find the open player. They turn defence into attack within seconds. Tobin Heath won the FIFA Women’s World Cup with the USA in 2015 and 2019. She also won Olympic gold at Beijing 2008 and London 2012.
