Iranian state media have broadcast a message from the IRGC stating the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed due to US threats and ongoing interference in the region. “The Strait of Hormuz cannot be reopened as long as the arrogance and threats of American officials and their interference in maritime movements in the region continue,” the IRGC said in a statement. “Threats and interventions will make the situation more difficult and complicated.”
