Thousands of migrants crossed from Morocco into Spain's North African enclave of Ceuta on Thursday, with many swimming for hours to reach the territory. An estimated 2,000 to 3,000 people overwhelmed authorities, prompting calls for a national emergency.  One migrant living in Spain said "they're told that there's a future in Spain, that there are jobs there, when they arrive they're faced with the harsh reality that they have nothing."  Ceuta is one of the European Union's only land borders with Africa.
