News24 host James Morrow reacts to the two main Democratic contenders who are running for Michigan’s open Senate seat. “Abdul El-Sayed, a hard-left progressive who rejects the Democratic socialist label but is still really hard left, is trouncing challenger Haley Stevens in the polls,” Mr Morrow said. “It’s getting very punchy with El-Sayed facing charges of sexism and antisemitism and concerns that he won’t release his tax returns, while Haley Stevens, well, she’s been accused of tarting up her Michigan accent to sound more authentic.”
