U.S. President Donald Trump said Hamas has reached an agreement to disarm, a significant move that could help end the conflict in Gaza. The 20-point ceasefire plan calls on the militant group to surrender its weapons and destroy its vast network of tunnels. It also envisions Israeli forces withdrawing from Gaza and the arrival of a new technocratic Palestinian government. According to The Associated Press, a Hamas official and a regional official said the agreement is contingent on concessions from Israel. Senior Hamas official Bassem Naim confirmed in a post on X that the group agreed to the deal.
