Hamas has signaled a willingness to disarm as part of a U.S.-backed roadmap to end the war in Gaza, but only if Israel first ends its attacks and withdraws its military from the enclave. Israel has not commented on the deal, which is part of a U.S-brokered ceasefire announced last October. Global's Jazan Grewal is joined by Ross Harrison, a senior fellow with the Middle East Institute, to discuss major hurdles in the peace deal. Harrison is skeptical Israel will agree to the deal or live up to his terms, and says many of the details in the arrangement are still unclear. “I don’t necessarily see this as a path to peace,” he says.
